Switzerland’s Ernte return with a new self-titled 7” “Ernte”
Inspired by ancient spirits and cold barren landscapes the new release starts with ‘Fen Fire’ which is slow and brooding with a creepy intensity which is very much in keeping with debut “Geist und Hexerei” raw and atmospheric with some great guitar parts.
The highlight track and undoubtedly the most furious is the following ‘Saturnine’ which for me the drumming is key – it serves as the heartbeat whilst the track weaves in and out of its savagery.
Recorded and mixed by Ernte at Inferno Studios Switzerland and mastered by Greg Chandler at The Priory Recording Studios, Birmingham (UK)
A great stopgap for an eventual EP or album.
